Walking time between King's Cross and St Pancras?

Wasn't quite sure where to put this...

Does anyone know roughly how long it takes to walk from St Pancras International Station to King's Cross station?

On the map it looks like a matter of a few minutes but when using the trainline they seem to be factoring in about 30 minutes even though there are more frequent trains.

What am I missing here?

5-10 minutes depending on which part of the station you arrive/leave

They are just across the road from each other, takes me 5 minutes and then a few more to get to the right platform.

They are right next to each other so its a matter of minutes. But they are biggish so if you had to walk from the furthest poubt of one to furthest of another it might be ten minutes. Maybe a bit more if you don't know where you're going and take a long route.

Not missing anything - it is only a few minutes walk butit is busy. Trainline allow longer to factor in people gettig slowed down inside the very busy stations and to account for moving luggage etc - with a pram I always seemed to move at glacial speed in central london. They must also be taking into account all the time needed - ie arriving at platform 1 in St P and being on Platform 15 at Euston in time for the train...

10 minutes max.

But if you're travelling on the Eurostar, you'll need to add time for passport control, etc.

St pancras is a massive station with about 15 platforms
I got lost walking round the whole place looking for the southeastern platforms because I came in the wrong end and I'm thick
Now I know they're up a fricking escalator it's a lot quicker
