Butlins hotel Bognor Regis - as good as they sound?

Does anyone have any experience of the Butlins Hotels?

I know Butlins is a bit like Marmite but I know my DC's would like the pool/entertainment/funfair.

Can't comment on the hotels but did stay in an apartment for a week in late August. My 4 year old loved the funfair, she'd have happily spent all day on the rides. The pool was good though the queues for the waterslides did get long at times. Queued for over an hour for raft slide. Change-over days were the quietest (Mondays and Fridays.) The entertainment was good. I think you saw more of the Redcoats if you stayed in the hotels. Would definitely go again but would wait until the New Year to book as the prices now are £600 more for the same stay as what we paid for this year!!
