Dorset - Portland area, cottage/family B&B,

Anyone know a good hotel/B&B near Portland in Dorset...or SC cottage/flat...also good family daytrips/must sees in the area...good restarants

The things we always seem to do when we visit Dorset is:

Use the Swanage steam railway park and ride from Norden to Swanage and then spend the day on the beach.

Visit Blue Pool and have a cream tea at their teahouse, very lovely!

Go to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove for a day out. Lovely food here, freash seafood and game:

Then there is MonkeyWorld and Bovington army museum.

Another good trip is getting the boat across from Weymouth harbour to Portland Castle and then having a look round the castle.
