Oct Half Term - SW or NW England - cottage/lodge/holiday park with Wifi?

Hi

Am after some inspiration - I hope someone can help.
I have just found out the childminder is having Oct half term off and due to other holidays she/we have taken this year I have next to no leave left from work. I work from home (mornings only), so was wondering if we could go away for half term and I could work in the cottage etc, DH could entertain the kids while I work and we could all play in the afternoons.

Does anyone know of any nice cottages/holiday parks etc which have free wifi in the cottage? We live in Bristol, so would ideally be looking for something max 2 hours from home, or if we decide to take Grandma, then 2 hours from Manchester instead.

Something with actvities around for 6 and 3 year olds, and natural beauty for me...

Any ideas appreciated, thanks.

We have stayed a number of times in se cornwall near Looe Here loads to do in the area, lovely beaches and lot less busy than the north coast.

Just posted on another thread about this place www.luxuryselfcateringuk.com
Stayed there a few weeks back. It has free wifi and there's an indoor pool for the kids as well as tennis court and lots to do in the area (it's near Wells in Somerset). Not too far from Bristol either. Hope that helps :-)

Cornwall ? We haven't done much self catering as usually stay at Fowey Hall or Bedruthan as we like to have the facilities but for a real chill out (and I would imagine a nice quiet place to work during the day) you could try the Eco Cottages at Mawgan Porth www.merlin-farm-cottages-cornwall.co.uk they are a few minutes walk to the beach and there are lots of kids activities nearby. The Eden Project always have something interesting going on over Half Term (the ice skating is fab!). Have a great time wherever you go !

we stayed here in the coach house the free internet was brilliant (very fast), very child / baby friendly, watch the cows be milked, not far from lovely beaches, and help your self to milk from their cows too.

Highly recommended

The Forestry Commission have some lovely log cabins at Deer Park which is near Looe. Not sure if there is wifi, but a lovely place to stay.
