Anyone turned up at a Butlins, Pontins, Haven type place without booking and got accomodation ?

Long story but Dp's brother has owed dp £300 for years and years now. Dp's mum has found out that he still owes it and said she will give it dp back (hmm she's after something i think).

We wanted to use some of it to take the kids away this weekend as I feel they deserve it after the few months they have had.

Only prob is that that dp's mum can't get the money to us until about 7pm tommorow night and all the breaks we have looked at start tommorow.

Haven for example have a 3 might break for £159 which is great but are they likely to have anything at all left if we just turned up tommorow ? as we can't actually pay a deposit or anything.

Do you know what I mean ?

You have to book it because they give out the keys at the office. Can you not book something with some other money and put it back tomorrow?? Or ask you MIL if she can pay for it and take the money out of the money she is going to give you tomorrow

It has to be this weekend as Dp is back at work on Tuesday.

His mum has already got the cash out, she's the type that keeps cash everywhere, doesn't have cards.

On the Pontins site it says something about paypoint vouchers where you ring them up, reserve what you want and then go and buy vouchers to that value from a paypoint. Then ring Pontins give them the ref number and it's booked. Think doing that at 7pm might be too late though.

hmmmmmmz, what about borrowing a c-card to put it all onto? then pay it back from that cash MIL is giving you?

Hmmm could ask my dad but not sure if his is maxed out, sometimes is with car stuff he buys.

If we were going earlier in the day I wouldn't be so bothered because I'm sure we'd find somewhere but as it will be about 9.30 when we get there i'd rather know for sure we have somewhere to stay.

the office will be closed at 9:30. You need to book in at 3:30. Last year I went away with my mates to haven and the gas bottle ran out, the office was closed and we had to get security to charge it and that was at 7pm.
