Holiday park recommendation (not centre parcs) with lodges

Some nice mumsnetters recommended Hoburne Naish which looks very nice but I am trying to explore all options.

It's for a week mid Septmeber. We will be travelling by train from London.

Basically I want to stay in a very nice lodge not a caravan but in a holiday park with good indoor pool facilities. I am not interested in kids clubs or entertainiment but do want to be within walk of a beach. If there is a small village we can walk to, that would also be great.

Thanks!

A gentle bump to help me find a holiday!

I can also vouch for Hoburne Naish - sorry not very helpful! Have you browsed the Hoseasons website? they often have some nice and reasonably prices places. I have also stayed at Watermouth Castle through them but it's not really walking distance to a beach.

Thanks! I spent ages googling today and keep coming back to Hoburne Naish! We are coming by train, no car. What do you think?

Not sure where the nearest station is but I have twice spent Mon - Fri there with small children and barely left the site - playground/crazy golf/swim in the morning. Back to the lodge for lunch and a nap then down to the beach for the afternoon with maybe a short stop in the little soft play bit. Out to the wether spoons type pub in the evening, another playground stop and home for them to go to bed and us to drink wine on the decked verandah. Happy Days!

Dawlish Sands?

Just saw this thread-can I recommend Ribby Hall Village in Wrea Green, Lancashire (about 8 miles from Blackpool)?

They have pine lodges and various sizes of cottages-a fab indoor pool (and amazing Spa if that's your thing?!), a soft play, equestrian centre, nature trail, and daytime and evening entertainment. Also Papa Johns pizzeria, Starbucks coffee house and loads of other eating places too!

As its so close to Blackpool you can pop in for a wee visit and then come away to the peace and quiet of Ribby! Also close to St Anne's, etc for nice shopping and restaurants.

We're just back from our second stay (first was in 2011) and it was fabulous again!

Oh my god! That looks perfect! Thank you!
