Any ideas for a good stopover on the way from Dover to North-East?

I was thinking somewhere around Cambridge - any recommendations? B & B or hotel is fine but don't want to end the holiday in a Travellodge as it is our wedding anniversary! Thanks

Try Ram Jam inn nr Oakham or wentbridge hotel. I travel a lot up a1 to NE and always think these look nice
