Flat/House Holiday Let in London for Xmas/New Year 2013 - recommendations?

For up to 14 people. Needs to be suitable for family, in centre of London, ideally Chelsea, Kensington, Westminster, that kind of area, but open to suggestions - for about a week.

Any ideas of a) someone who lets a property that might suit, or b) any sites that specialise in large London holiday lets?

Our American family are coming over for either christmas or new year (depending on what we can find and their available dates) and we have done middle of nowhere in Devon already, so think London would be a better plan this time!

try groupaccommodation.com and bigholidayhouse.com websites as they specialise in places for groups of 10+. we have used places off the website in the past and found it easy to use etc. However, be prepared for it to be mega mega bucks why do you want central London?

thank you. We are meeting to celebrate MILs 80th Birthday, a rare change for the whole family (close family, not the lot, that would be too many people!) to get together. She grew up in Chelsea (before it was posh she said!) and the surrounding area, has fond memories of those places and so would like to revisit those places. She lives a distance from UK, in USA, but not just in USA, in the middle of nowhere, where getting to UK is difficult, and I am a little worried she is not going to be able to do this trip too often after christmas, and so I would love to make it perfect for her.

She is prepared for it to cost bucks. BUT, when I tell her quite how many bucks I suspect she will change her mind about location somewhat...Wink

I found a place on ownersdirect website in covent garden that is around £8,500 for 3 nights over Christmas / New year. there were a few others on here for around £2,000 to £2,500 per night but they were further out. For this sort of money you could stay in a hotel or place outside London and get a minibus in!!
