Where to eat in Edinburgh?

Any recommendations for family places in Edinburgh which aren't too expensive? We're staying in the centre

vittoria's is nice, its an italian (they have three in the city) if you google it they have a web page

Taste of Italy is also owned by same company, its fab, my favourite, nr St James Centre (John Lewis).

Cool jade the Chinese opposite the zoo

I like Guiliano's at the top of Leith Walk ( opposite the Playhouse).
The Broughton Deli off Broughton St is v nice too.

If you like Thai the spirit of Thai is lovely.
