Theatre break in Stratford - where to stay?

My parents have booked DH and I tickets to a play in Stratford (very delayed Xmas present!) while they babysit, but I have no idea where to stay overnight? Can anyone recommend a small hotel or b&b? Also, does anyone know of good places to go for an early dinner before the show?

We've just been to a wedding and stayed at a Best Western hotel, called Salford Hall, near Stratford. Really nice, old manor house, not really like a usual chain hotel.

We had a lovely night in Stratford in April, stayed at the White Swan, it was lovely. Had a romantic feel to it!!! It is very central so easy to walk to everything. We had a lovely meal there as well.
