Can anyone recommend a family friendly B&B in Edinburgh?

We'll be there in August for 2 nights and I'm having trouble identifying suitable B&Bs. Looking for something near the centre with a room that can accomodate 2 adults and 2 kids. Thanks

We stayed in a gorgeous house - the hosts were lovely and our room had a sofa bed in the next smaller room, 5 mins from the west end AND with parking.. No29edinburgh.co.uk also wallaces arthouse nr leith - fabby host - both had superb warm ambience and amazing breakfasts... Also on my list was 2 cambridge st but never managed to stay there...

Was just going to recommend Wallace's art house! I haven't stayed there but I'm a journalist and interviewed Wallace for a feature and he was just lovely - I'm now dying to stay at his place myself. I have two kids aged two-and-a-half and one and he said they'd be more than welcome.
His website is here:

We were lucky enough to be fitted in by Mr Wallace Shaw. Most of the well reviewed places in Edinburgh were all booked up inc no 29 and 2 Cambridge st. My fault for carelessly planning to go there in August and forgetting it's the festival! We'll just have to share the place with another million visitors! It might even be a relief to be out of the centre. Thanks for the recommendations I m really looking forward to experiencing the art house.

Glad you're sorted - wallace is a GEM... And never had soooo many mirrors in a bathroom ! 2 cambridge is next on my list ! There's also a vintage market at the top of leith walk, not too far and we ate at fishers and the shore and 'room in the town' all nearbyish with superb food - we did a lot of eating... And the royal yacht is also moored nearby.,,,. Have fun :)
