please help me, SP with 5 children who would love a holiday

I desperately would like to take my children away for a few days in the summer.
Children are 14,7,6 & 17 month old twins. I don't drive & the budget is tight.
I am really struggling to find somewhere in budget with plenty for the 3 older ones to do, which is accessible with a double buggy.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I am not sure how those websites are doing but I remember looking at swapping houses for summer - then accommodation would be free

Budget is maximum £500 with spending money on top.
Not sure anyone would want to stay here I have nightmare neighbours & house is looking a little lot worse for wear.

Accommodation and travel could possibly squeeze some extra cash to cover food . We are in fife, Scotland. They would be happy with just two or three nights away if it is somewhere they can have a great time.

I would look for something at the end of their school holiday.
People usually prefer going early and last week of holidays is much cheaper.

Kids here in London are going back to school on 08/09, so ex will be taking them from mid week after Bank Holiday.

For instance - 4 days in this YHA hotel would cost you 250 (I chosen 4 nights starting on 26/08 - lots of people would be leaving on monday after long weekend)

Have look at other youth hostels - I think you'l find that prices and accommodation is very flexible.
You could call them and find out if you can have room for all of you and see what the price would be like - they say Quad Family Room
Standard rate at £60.00 per night. I think that is very sensible price for security and privacy.

Aviemore would be good as there is so much to do. Do you have any tesco vouchers? You can get entry to Landmark and I think the cairngorm railway with them. It wouldn't be too far to travel and you might get a deal on rail travel.

The other thing would be a caravan park. We love Embo (Parkdean) but that would be difficult without a car. They have 4 or 5 other parks in Scotland - not the cheapest - but they do 4 nights midweek. I have two teenagers and a 6 year old and it suits us.

I do think the travel will blow the budget so might have to be one nearer home, what about kids summer camps?
