family holiday during the sunmer

I am looking for somewhere to go for a week or a little less. There will be me and my partner and our 5 kids 2,7,10,11,16. I want to take hem sonewhere nice where there is plenty to do and also near te beach (preferably sandy) the only hing is evdrywhere sems so expensive at this time of year. Butlins and center parcs are askng for ridiculas amounts of money.

Can anyone help with suggestions. I am on quite a tight budget

What kind of things do you like to do?

There are lots of holiday parks in Devon and Cornwall. If you go for a small, family owned site they can be cheaper.

Or Haven and Parkdean are normally cheaper than Butlins/CP. We have stayed in sites run by both companies and have had great times at both.
