I need a list of things to take for a 10 month old

Me and DH are taking DS to Cornwall in June for a week and would like some advice on what to take. The cottage says they have a cot and high chair.

Also it will be just under a 6hr drive.

How about a travel box of toys. I use a large tupperware tub and put in lots of different little toys. This is put away a week before travel so it's a bit of a novelty.

At least 3/4 books.

Things to consider:
How mobile is Dc?
Is there a washing machine
Will there be sheets for the cot (seems obvious but we've been caught out before )

Nappy cream
Moisturising cream
Calpol
Baby bath
Baby oil
Vests
Socks
Shorts
Trousers
T-shirts
Long sleeve tops
Baby grows
Sleeping bag
Bibs
Zip-up/cardigan
Coat

Toothbrush and toothpaste
Buggy
Raincover for buggy
Swimwear
Sun cream
Sun hat
? Beach towel
Relevant plates/bowls/spoons and food
Bottles
? muslins if still using
Cot sheets
CDs for car - audio books (e.g. Just 5 Minutes Peace) and songs

That's all I can think of for now!

Spares of everything - particularly bed sheets, t-shirts etc then you can just do one off, one on if you get a leak from either end

Also, remember toys for the car. I have a photo of DS playing with a bowl and spoon at a similar age, strapped into his car seat, halfway upn the M5, as we'd shut his toys in the boot forgwetting trhat he might not sleep the whole way.

Also take a roll of binbags, which are handy for washing, muddy wellies, car sick clothes etc and some washing detergent and pegs, even if you just handwash.

Thank you everyone would you suggest taking a few clothes and washing or taking a weeks+ worth.

there are shops in Cornwall! No need to spend time packing nappies etc and filling your car when you can buy things when there

I would organise an Internet shop to be delivered on the evening of arrival with food, nappies etc.

For one week I would take clothes and not wash.

The first time we took DD away we took everything but the kitchensink. Never again.

The year after we searched for a large supermarket just before arrival and stock on things like nappies, food etc.

Toys: we didn't bring a lot at that age. At that age DD was happy with bowls, spoons, some blocks, stacking cups etc. During the drive DD was ok as long as we had breaks so she could stretch her legs (she started to cruise at that age). We just had the usual car toys clipped to the seat.
