Hotel/B&B next to the Blackpool Illuminations!

So we're planning a big family trip up to the Blackpool Illuminations at the end of October - there will be dp, me and 2x ds's, my MIL and FIL and dp's brother, SIL and their 2 x children. Phew! So we'll need 4 - 5 bedrooms, a couple of which would preferably interconnecting as dp's brother's children are still little.

Any suggestions for decent hotel/B&B accommodation for a night, very near either end of the illuminations would be very gratefully received!

I think the big blu hotel is the best for illuminations.. It's right opp water park too.

We stayed at a lovely premier inn just outside blackpool last year, but it was about 10 mins drive in

Thanks! Yes I've done a bit of googling and the Premier Inn looks good - might be best for the amount of rooms we need and I can see if they do interconnecting.

The Premier Inn next to Blackpool's football ground is ideal - it is close enough to walk into town but far enough out to not be right in the thick of all the drunk people action

The Big Blue is a lovely hotel , we've stopped there several times and its good value for money and the restaurant is nice as well .The hotel at the football club looks nice as well but I've not tried it yet . As has already been said the Sandcastle waterpark is really good fun .

We stayed at the premier inn next to Blackpool airport it was about 5 minutes walk to the tram
