Please help me find a May half term break in Cornwall.

I've not been to Cornwall since i was a child. I have no idea where to go!
We live in Somerset, going by train so must have train station close by!
Me plus DC. DSs age 16 and 13 DDs ages 8 and 10 and my 19 yr old Brother!
Self catering.
Caravan park?
We've done Haven or that type break so something like that is fine.
DDs will probably like somewhere with entertainment like Haven.
Beach close by. (DDs don't travel well on coaches)
Cheap as possible. I would say needs to be under £500.
Any ideas very gratefully received!

thats a big ask! 7 of you for under £500 for a week at May half term. try looe bay holiday park. caravans seem good there. parkdean holidays website says that they have 3 bed ones to sleep 8 for around £600. have a look at the cornwall tourist board website as well. camping an option? se cornwall you can get trains via plymouth into looe and liskeard so easy to get to. have you looked at the price of train travel even with a railcard. again pretty pricey for 7 of you on a saturday. good luck hope you find something.

Yes, is big task but if we don't go in May, there will be no holiday again this year.
Got to find money for dogs to be cared for for a week too.
Camping no go. Tried it once before, nightmare to carry huge tent and all other stuff.
Will look at those places.
