Feather Down Farms, Midgham - has anyone been?

We're thinking about booking a tent at Midgham for 4 adults and two girls (2 & 4yo) and we've never done a Feather Down Farm holiday before.

I'm a bit nervous and wondered if anyone had been to this particular site before? Did u find it was safe for small kids? Is the area around the tent fenced/enclosed in any way?

We went to Featherdown at Midgham last June. We found it a very dark setting as the tents are in the woods. The showers are also quite a distance from the tents. I won't lie to you; I didn't particularly enjoy it but I think my experience is coloured by the fact I'm no camper! This was my concession to camping and it was still too close to camping for my liking...

No, thanks for your honesty! It's not cheap and its our last hol before dc2 arrives so we want it to be memorable for the right reasons!
