babymoon - peak district or east midlands

Was thinking about treating ourselves to a weekend away next month before baby arrives. Don't want to travel far so east mids / peak district would be good. Staying somewhere that does dinner like a nice pub would be fab. Anyone know which towns or villages might be nice to stay in where there's enough to do for a couple of days. Prob beyond the stage of being able to go for nice bracing country walks by then. Or know of nice hotel / b&b which is close to something and somewhere for a wander?
Thanks

Bakewell is nice, smallish town so not much walking. Near to Matlock and Buxton for days out. We live near enough for a day trip so I don't know of any accommodation.
