Where to stay 1 night near Bristol?

Planning to stay somewhere along the route between Fishguard and Newquay (I think Bristol is approx half way) for 1 night with a 3yr old. I don't want to do a roadside motel type stop but would like something nice, any suggestions?

We stayed here en route from Norfolk to Cornwall last summer. More of a guest house than a b&b but so friendly and welcoming, garden for the kids to run about in, and an easy walk into Cheddar village in the evening to find a nice pub!

Just off the M4/M5 Almondsbury Interchange there is the Aztec Hotel and Spa which is nice, or there is also a Hilton in the same place. Both very nice with good restaurants and spa's/ swimming pools. Literally 1 minute from motorway on A38 south towards Bristol.

Thanks for that folks, both look promising!

We stayed here for a few nights at Xmas. Not far from Bristol and Bath. It was LOVELY!
