Any suggestions or recommendations for multi-family weekend around Oxfordshire?!

Hi, Help needed please. The critieria are: 4 families, all with children under 10 (but some as young as 2yrs), oxfordshire area and not too pricey (under £200 for 2 nights at weekend), ideally near something of interest for the children (but this can be a park/play area etc). Woudl love CParcs but just too expensive. Happy with one big place (but there will be 16 of us!) or cottages etc next door or family/interconnecting rooms in B+B/Hotel. But where?! any ideas or recommendations woudl be much appreciated, thank you.

When are you going?

Have a look at Cotswold water park. Might be a bit far out though.

Hi, Thanks for reply. April or May time. Avoiding school holidays, which might help. Will look at Cotsworlds - my geography is rubbish so not sure where that is! Oxford chosen as roughly equidistant for all families so might work...

What sort of thing do you want to be doing in the day?

Hmm, don't mind. The children are mainly of a similar age so will play together. Something outdoors good.

Theres a lovely cottage that friends own in upper slaughter in the cotswolds. The website is www.selfcateringcottagecotswolds.co.uk/. Its listed in Alistair sawdays guide.

We live in the Cotswolds, loads to do for families, great cycling, walking, national trust properties amazing family friendly pubs.

Or cotswold water park ( adventure activities), birdland, car museum and model village at bourton on the water or cotswold farm park.

Oxford is about 40 mins away.

I reckon bourton or Morton in marsh area. Fair bit to do round there, though it can be a bit touristy (bourton especially on hot days).
There's batsford arboretum up that way as well, if you're into that sort of thing

Dont plan to do the water park as well as bourton though, or you'll spend the entire weekend in a car

There's the wildlife park at burford too, but could work out expensive.
