Can anyone recommend any nice sites to take a touring caravan to in North Wales, ideally near the beach, quietish but with facilities for a toddler (small park, pool possibly)

Eisteddfa caravan site in Criccieth is perfect. No pool but lots of rockpools on the beach and all very low key.

Criccieth is excellent its a very safe beach too, Lambedrog is also very nice and nearby.
Have a look here for some more info

Criccieth is lovely - proper family holiday place imo. also nearby black rock sands or there is a lovely site just outside of Borth y gest/ Porthmadog. Beaches are good but be careful in the tidal estuary. Plenty to do in this area too.

AS above just ask locals etc re tides, Blackrock is an excellent beach but take care with the tides as strong currents.
Cadwaleders ice cream in criccieth is excellent and if you eat in go to the back of the shop and look at the view.
Wish I was going back, its 3 hours drive from our house and when the kids were small we often went for the day, as the fuel was cheaper than stopping over in a hotel.
Now I am going to give away a Gem, just outside Criccieth, in a little village with a pub and an excellent Cafe, right next to the river

Its small, dont tell every one! I think its £10 a night with hook up

Do you mean this one

Yes its excellent, but small, if you want fish & Chips Bingo etc forget it, Its a small field at the back of the owners house, River runs at the bottom of the garden, Cafe over the river has excellent food, Local pub 5 mins away looks nice but never eaten in it.
The have one static caravan, about 6 touring pitches and a small field.
There is a bigger site down the road too.
Lots of nice places nearby, I love it here

Good for wet weather as it has a nice bowling alley
Look at the link I posted higher up as some local area info on it
