We are saving this year to get our house ready for selling so a holiday will be an absolute luxury .
Years ago I did a sun hol with our friends and while our caravan was fab our friends was awful and because of the smell of smoke had to move vans at midnight !
as the sun Hols are starting again could we maybe start a thread suggesting good and not so good destinations ? X TIA

We did a Sun holiday at Auchenlarie holiday park, Dumfries and Galloway. It was lovely. Quiet site (although we were far removed from the 'entertainment', sea within walking distance, visitors and staff we met were all lovely, and lots to do nearby.

However, we did pay to upgrade to the best caravan possible, so with all the nightly charges etc. it probably cost around £90 for 3 nights. We were lucky enough to get a brand new 3-bed caravan which was spotless. Brilliant though. We'll definitely do it again this year.
