Center Parcs Sherwood - how dark is it?

We are going to Center Parcs Sherwood for New Year. I am hoping to be able to get a couple of early morning runs in (to counteract the food and drink) but I'm wondering whether it will be too dark at this time of year? I know they suggest bringing a torch, but is there some lighting around the roads and lake?

At home I normally go running at 6am, but there are street lights so it is OK. If I am going to run whilst on holiday it will need to be early as the kids have activities from 9am onwards so I need to be back, showered and breakfasted by then.

I can only tell you that center parcs in elveden is very dark (came back 2wk ago) there are street light type things along the roads and a few by lake but you really need a torch as theyr quite spread out and even walking around elveden at half 4 recently with a torch i had to be careful and was wearing wellies the whole week so maybe it'll be the end of your running trainers lol dh also fell in the car park there and he's not usually clumsy at all..have a lovely break I'm well jel x

Thanks. Maybe it would be a better idea to go to the gym and use the treadmill!

It's also helpful to have the map with you when wandering around.

We just came back last weekend and it is really dark, lots of people were carrying torches. There are street lamps but these are really dim.
