Best things to do in North Cornwall for under 5s?

I'm in North Cornwall for a week with 4 yo, 2 yo and baby. I'd love some tips on the best things to do with preschool children in middling to bad weather.

We are between Bodmin and the north coast. I thought there would be loads of leaflets, info etc in our cottage, but there is nowt!

So far I've thought of rockpooling - not sure which beach yet - and Eden Project. Would also like to take them to an indoor pool, but one that is not too overwhelming for non-swimmers.

Newquay zoo is lovely just the right size for little ones. there is also a small aquarium here and next to the zoo a lovely indoor pool with flumes. check out the cornwall tourist board website at visit cornwall for other ideas. there is also the big sheep and a farm park near launceston (forget the name) Trethorne park. also there is crealy and flambards for rides and animals too.

Daymer Bay is great for rock pooling. Watergate Bay is a fantastic beach and good refreshments available at the Beach Hut.

Springfields is good for small children and you get 7 days entry for the price of one at the moment.

Padstow might be worth a walk round and not too busy at this time of the year.

There is also a good swimming pool at the Point at Polzeath.

A variety of walks at Cardinham Woods including park and tea room.

Tea rooms & play park at Trevathan Farm, St Endellion.

Port Quin has a small sheltered beach and lovely views.

Playing fields and park at Wadebridge, feed the ducks seagulls in the river.

Cycle the Camel Trail and hire a bike with a trailer for the younger members of the family.

thank you so much - off to Daymer Bay today on your advice, and will try some other ideas later on. I thought the Camel Trail sounds amazing but baby a bit young to understand trailer sadly - next time though!

The Camel Trail is great fun, but not so good in the rain. The spring is the best time when the spring flowers are out and before it gets too busy.
