Which YHA to stay in for a weekend break?

The YHA have a great Winter Warmer deal on at the moment so we want to book a weekend away - anywhere really - just to go somewhere new.

We've booked Ilam Hall for the end of half term next February as it's close to Alton Towers and we'll do a day there and a day at the waterpark. We've stayed there before and it's great for DC. And at £66.50 for two nights for a private room for 4 with en-suite and dinner it's a bargain!

I wondered if anyone could recommend any other really nice locations? We're not really into walking or cycling. Just somewhere nice to visit with plenty of space in the hostel for DC to be able to roam.

Thanks.

Depends where you are but Lee Valley is right in the middle of the Lee Valley. 2 minutes walk from Cheshunt Station which will get in you into the centre of London in 20 minutes.

Ooo! That would have been good. Unfortunately it's not in the offer. Sad

I'm in Southampton btw. Thanks.

Bath Youth Hostel is right in the centre of Bath - it's a gorgeous Georgian building.

We did this offer last feb half term at Arundle. Hostel is big old house and a bit run down but plenty of space. Visited wetland centre and Singleton outdoor museum. This summer stayed in national forest yha which is brand new and very nice. We cycled lots but it is also nextdoor to Conkers which is quite good for kids.

Oooh this sounds good. Sorry to hijack but can anyone recommend one up to a couple of hours of London which would be good for a 4 year old? Thanks.
