October half term ideas within 3 hours drive from London please...

So center parcs for the weekend fully booked unless we want to pay 50% more! Any ideas on where we can go for 2/3 days within 3 hour drive of london? Kids are nearly 4 and 6.5 so lots of energy so must have activities (indoor preferred!) Thanks so much!

Not sure where you are but we can get to SE Cornwall in under 4 hours. we stay here at a place called Wringworthy holiday cottages and they do a couple of nights over half term though not sure if they have spaces. we also go to wales in Oct half term - Porthmadog area and it has lots of open space and outdoor activities for the kids. what about somewhere like bristol with the museum or bath area? lots to do if you look on the tourist board websites. legoland? chessington?

Come to sunny Deal, nr Dover. Castles to visit, swimming pool, lots of lovely pubs, 2 very good zoos within 30 min drive and if you bring passports you can hop over to France for the day:)

Last year we did yurt camping in Cornwall and we all loved it and even did surfing lessons (even me) during the October half term break!
