We have been to Sandy Balls (New Forest) the last two years but looking at other options for next year. We would want to stay on a nice caravan site with pool, shop and kids' entertainment but not scale of Butlins/Haven etc - more like Center Parcs but smaller!

We are in Norfolk and would want to travel 4-5hrs max. Bearing in mind there was snow up north last Easter, I think we'd prob look at staying in the south! Near to nice walks and child-friendly activities (esp if it rains all week!) would be ideal!

Recommendations for a) general area and b) caravan sites would be fab :)

Callow Top Caravan Park, Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

Lovely site, loads to do and right at the gateway to the peak district.

You'll need to book soon though Smile

That site does look lovely Babylon but we need somewhere with static caravans (sorry didn't make that clear in my OP).

DrSeuss we are not really city-break people... like to be somewhere nice and quiet. Yorkshire would be lovely but I am worried about snow!!

Well good luck xx

There's a site in bakewell, Derbyshire that does have statics and peak gateway at Osmaston, just outside of Ashbourne. Smile

Torcross. Devon. Beautiful apartments on the beach and not that expensive either.
