I suppose you've been out by now.
I stayed in a B+B in Edwinstowe for 4 weeks, once.
Mansfield town centre not much going to cut it?

Have you got a car? Head up the M1 to Sheffield, or go east to Lincoln.

Newark? Small market town, some independent shops as well as a Next, m&s.

Its our last day tomorrow, hopefully it will stay dry and we can enjoy the forest. The cabin has been fab!

Are you at the new forest holidays place?

triplets · 30/08/2012 23:09

Yes we are.............its lovely, fantastic cabins..........huge! Only an easy 5 min walk to th Sherwood Pines Park, fantastic cafe there with brilliant food and its cheap! The hot tub has been bliss................we leave in the morning and go to Tallington Lakes in another cabin in Lincolnshire............no hot tub though :(

That's a shame. Never been to tallington, that's the place with the ski slope isn't it?

triplets · 05/09/2012 22:54

Yes, we were on the lake next to it. Watched people going down it, it seemed very slow............but what do I know??
