Hi My DTs are nearly 2 and I feel like I need a couple of days away somewhere on my own to recharge my batteries. Wouldn't mind a bit of yoga, creative writing, something like that...any ideas? Somewhere in the North of England with lovely food would be great.
Thanks in advance!

Eden day spa near Newark, Notts is lovely. The food there is excellent, I think it does well in ' best restaurant' type things. It is only a day spa though.

Have you looked at the Arvon Foundation for creative writing? You'll have to take turn to cook and it won't be Michelin but it will be good, hearty food and some of the buildings they have are amazing.

Oh, that sounds like a fab idea.

The Arvon ones sound fantastic but might be pushing it to go away for nearly a full week! Thanks so much for the ideas everyone.

Anyone know of anything that's like the Arvon but a bit shorter and cheaper? Ha ha not asking for much am I?

Ragdale Hall East Midlands is amazing. Just a health spa so everyone there is on a retreat, you wear your robe 24 hrs a day Grin. Food is out of this world and the treatments are the best ive ever had (and i do a lot of spas Blush)
