Self-Catering UK Resort with toddler-friendly pool

I want to take DS on a holiday to a self-catering resort with a good on-site indoor pool that is toddler-friendly, hoping to go in September once schools have gone back but before weather gets too cold. Anywhere in the UK south of about Birmingham and west of about Oxford would be OK.

I looked and centerparcs but it is a bit pricey when for small numbers (it will just be me and DS - but 2 people is only £20 cheaper than 4 people). I was close to deciding to book for Pontins when I found this review site and now I'm wondering whether anything cheaper than centerparcs is going to be just as grotty and awful as these reviews describe.

Where have you been that has a nice pool and is clean and comfortable yet cheap?

Haven? I have read some negative reviews of them but we went this year and the site was lovely. It had indoor and outdoor pools both of which had toodler areas.
