we're going to legoland but its a long drive. i'm looking for somewhere to stay after our day out and possibly the night before. if i cant find anywhere nearby (windsor seems very expensive), where could we stop within about an hours drive to the north without being in london?
any ideas?

Have you checked www.play-and-stay.co.uk/, They do packages with tickets and hotel accommodation. It is actually cheaper to buy the whole package than just the tickets. We have stayed at the Park Hotel next the Heathrow

Have you checked for hotels in Slough? Just a few mins from Windsor tho traffic from Slough to legoland would be annoying.

Check out Travelodge. There is one central Windsor, which often has very reasonable prices. There are also places in nearby Staines, Slough and Bracknell.

High wycombe has a premier inn and a travel lodge and is about half an hour away. Within walking distance of a cinema and bowling if you needed evening entertainment.

Thanks! This is useful as I have no idea about the surrounding areas. Windsor seems very expensive so I'm hoping it will be more reasonable to stay a little bit out of London/Windsor :)

I'm staying int he Travelodge Slough for £23.50 for a family room on 31st August. It is 4 miles away I think. We have MMW tickets and LL have confirmed that you can buy 2nd day tickets before you leave the park. I think that these are £5-6 each.

hi ben10 did you book it well in advance? family rooms are coming up at around £60 now.
