Where do you go swimming with the kids? Are there any good classes or teachers that I could book for a couple of weeks over the hols?

The main pool is quite new, at the Peak leisure/sports complex -I don't know much about it though, as I use the McLaren in Callendar as is nearer for me (thought little is usually reasonably empty...) but they don't do private lessons etc, can't answer for the Stirling one.

I'm probably too late with this but for swimming in general Active Stirling has the monopoly on swimming lessons in the area ( the is the Uni, but you needed them in the waiting list in utero) . If you're prepared to take lessons in one of the school pools, and they are all new, you should have no probs getting them into a class. If you're desperate for the Peak, with the pish parking and extortionate coffee you may need to go on a waiting list. 3 of my 4 DCs have ended up club swimmers so I can endorse their system.
