We went about 5/6 years ago if that is any help

purplerainbow · 21/07/2012 20:37

thanks, what was it like? If found a few reviews, the past ones arent very good but found 3 people that had been within the last 6 months and they have sang their praises?

It was alright if I remember correctly. The on site facilities were no different than any other Haven site to be honest and we've stayed in quite a few!
Based one what we experienced 5/6 years ago we would go back again except it was a 5 1/2 hour drive to get there!

ah yeah its not too far for me and as its just me with ds1 6 and ds2 3.8, i wanted a 'holiday' for them although its not far, so not having to worry about the journey!

We booked it in a moment of madness!
We have 5 children but survived getting there. The only problem was the realization that we would have to make the journey in reverse!
The children enjoyed staying there and there was a big supermarket nearby for provisions.
The beach we went to was stones instead of sand but the children didn't mind.
We stayed in a 3 bedroom chalet that was very nice and out of the way on the end of a row iyswim.
It was a 5 minute walk to the clubhouse and facilities.

We went recently but just used the caravan to sleep in and not the facilities. It was a really nice caravan, lovely and clean and the site looked ok. Very hilly though!!!

purplerainbow · 21/07/2012 21:12

yeah i had heard its hilly, not going to be be great with ds1 especially as its meant to be hot next week! I did cheekily ring them last night and asked when they allocate where your accomadation is and asked if possible could we be somewhere flattish and they said they'd see what they could do , so far impressions are good
