Going to Bluestone; should we book activities in advance?

This is a query to those of you who have been to Bluestone in Wales.

We are going to Bluestone in August and I was looking at the activities available to book. We hope to see the surrounding area and I would rather see how the weather is before committing to do activites on specific days already but those of you who have been before. Do the activites get booked up? And are there any activites that you would specifically recommend? We're going with 7yo, 4yo and baby.

Thanks!

Thanks. I was looking at the 4 x 4 driving so I think I will book that for my eldest in advance.

The boys are keen on doing the forest search for the dragon's egg. I'm wondering whether it will be ok for my 4yo in the forest for 3 hours or if it's too long for him.
