Holiday on the Norfolk Broads with an 18 month old...what do you think?

My DP and I would love to have a week boating on the Norfolk Broads this summer. We need to get it booked soon but one big concern for me is taking our 18 month old son. Has anyone been boating with toddlers and am I right to feel anxious about safety, are we better booking in a B&B and doing a day trip on a boat instead?? Confused

I've taken both my DCs from 6 months to 10 years old

you are more safe on a holiday boat than a day boat IMO and supervision is key but no reason why you shouldn't go and enjoy it

the worst bit is mooring as it can take 2 of you to get moored up so I allways used to take a travel cot to use but there are nearly always people ready to help and the boats that have bow thrusters are pretty easy to moor

Thanks for putting my mind at rest workshy and sorry for the delayed reply - we have now just booked 4 nights on the norfolk broads in July so we can't wait! Grin
