We're Leeds based so can't quite cope with a trek to the golden shores of the South and have exhausted Robin Hood's Bay and Runswick Bay so we're thinking North Wales maybe but have zero idea of where's a good destination.
Just me, Dh and DS who's 21 months. Up for some walks but do love a nice ramble around a village with some craft shops and chafes etc.
Any ideas anyone?
Many thanks in advance Grin

Whitby? Then you can go to any one of dozens of lovely villages for the day too and have the best of both. Hutton le Hole is lovely, there's paddling in the river and the Ryedale Folk Museum and it's only a few minutes from Whitby.

Conway is central.
Snowdonia and the scenic walking country nearby
Nice beaches
Conway itself nice sized town crafty type shops and plenty of places to eat we went twice once when DS 3 then again a couple of years later.

Llandudno is lovely. We stayed in Colwyn Bay, but found it a bit run down. When we went to Llandudno for the day we wished we had booked to go there instead.

We are in yorkshire

we had a lovely break in Rhyl, North Wales about 3 weeks ago with then 8m DD

we stayed here and would go back
There is a large aquarium at rhyl which we enjoyed and a nice sandy beach... and nice walks along the beach

i expect there are some nicer villages a short drive away
