Looking for a Bristol B&B near M5 - traveling onto Cornwall

We have a summer journey down on M5 passing through Bristol want to stop for one night near Bristol then onto Padstow Cornwall next day.

Looked at the Premier Inn Portishead, but it looks like in the middle of nowhere and we would like to be near a cinema or restaurants (4 teens and 2 adults) so need some life about us. Don't want a country B&B. Don't know this area at all so any suggestions would be great.

Thank you.

Don't know Bristol (only visited a few times with DSis who lives in Bath) but have you looked at university accommodation? I think Bristol Uni is central and it should come with car parking and be fairly cheap.

Alternatively if you fancy a detour then Bath is great, beautiful with plenty of lively things to do at night. The Bath Travelodge is central but not the campus accommodation.

premier inn at cribbs causeway - straight off motorway - located nea lots eof shops, cinema and eating places.

also premier inn at Aelverstonge (not sure of spelling) - not really near cinema or anything and prob 10 mins off motorway but restaurant sattached is lovely.

HTH. We have booked cribbs causewyay for lots of trips that way and always been pleased. kat

Thanks for that. I have found a place called something lodge near Cribbs Causeway and have booked that. Looks like it will do the job and under £50 a room. Perfect.
