Hand luggage on UK-internal flight - what have you taken?

DH, DD and I are flying from Edinburgh to Newquay this summer and wondered about hand luggage.
Obviously both adults would be allowed one piece each, but has anyone also taken the baby's change bag (and been allowed to), in addition? It'd be much handier than having to take DD's change bag as my hand luggage and having to stuff extra things such as handbag, passport, into it at the last minute.
I can't find much info about this on the airline website and don't fancy calling the customer service number as it's pricey and you have to wait forever...
Thanks all!

i flew by myself with my baby internally

was only allowed 1 piece of hand luggage

i doubt you wil be allowed any more... just pack your stuff into 1 bag....

i had 1 bag and 1 suitcase for the 2 of us for a week.. it was fine. (she was 4m old)

i'm afraid 1 bag is 1 bag no matter what

I was travelling from luton to Glasgow ... i had a small handbag and had stopped at the newsagent for bottle of coke and a pkt of crips.. shop put them in a bag

was I allowed to take juice and crips through security.. no it was a second bag. In the end I put my juice and crips in my large jacket pockets and took them through that way.. cos it wasnt a second bag...

rules is rules i'm afraid .. even when they make no sense
