Where to stay? Winchester / New Forest / Soton areas

I need some help! Please!!!

We are taking DCs to Marwell Zoo for DDs birthday in the summer holidays. (She is giraffe mad so family clubbing together for the feeding experience :) )

We are on a tight budget, will be travelling with a newborn, and so I thought I'd extend her birthday into a mini-holiday.

There will be 2 adults, 3 children plus baby... caravan would be OK (but prefer to be away from busy Park Resort types as we don't do all the entertainment etc), would love to find a lodge or log cabin. Essentially it has to be clean and well maintained.

Any ideas?

There's a website called Roomfor5 that you might find useful.
'Sandy Balls' in the New Forest has nice lodges and caravans (and readytents!) but might be quite pricey in peak season.
