Staying near Exeter - want to do a day trip, where's best?

just want to plan a day out, last year we went to Crealy Adventure Park, year before we went to World of Country at Exmouth.

We are staying near Kingsbridge, Modbury area so what can you recommend, we also have DS age 7

How about Castle Drogo near Drewsteignton?

The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth (too far?) is absolutely lovely and if the weather is nice then you can go on some walking trails down to the sea.

Depends what sort of day out you want. Stover country park or Haldon forest park are free apart from parking. There is go ape at Haldon.

Dartmoor zoo near plymouth is ok, but a bit shabby, paignton zoo is better.

The steam train at Paignton is good fun, followed by a day on the beach plus boat across to dartmouth.

A wildlife boat trip?
