Things to do in Skye for 2 under 5

We are going to a s/c cottage in the south of Skye in August. Been to Skye before but pre-children, so a different type of holiday this time!
I imagine plan will be walking, beaches, rockpools etc but as Scots ourselves we know that the weather won't be guaranteed and it would be good to have an idea of things to do if it rains for the whole week!
DS1 will be 4.5 and DS2 almost 2 - anything people would recommend for small people?

We've been a couple of times with DC and quite a few before. There is masses to do actually although you do drive a fair bit and may need to dodge the midges if it isn't windy. Mind, my children can be amused for a whole afternoon throwing stones into rivers...

Where are you staying?

Sandy beach at Glenbrittle and small walks towards headlands/waterfalls on both sides
Also a bit of a beach at Portnalong/fiskavaig
Aros centre (shop, cafe, museum area, midgy play park)
Elgol boat trip to see seals and Coruisk (this is great they give you coffee and a bit of shortbread!)
Serpentarium at broadford
Little walk to the Fairy pools (glenbrittle road)
Playpark at Sligachan & child friendly pub
Dunvegan castle
Climbing around the broch thing at Struan (?)
Sheepskin place (bit of a trek TBH)
Various attractions at Portree - glass bottomed boat
Mcdonald centre - nice gardens, lovely cafe, possibly a play area & watch boats coming and going to Mallaig

err mind has gone blank as to the place with the pinnacles

Got it! The Quiraing!

Can you tell we have had a heck of a lot of days where the weather was too bad I was too knackerded to follow DH up any more mountains?

marking place.

We go for a week in 9 days (and counting) eeek, excited. My first ever trip to Skye.

Sorry I meant the Clan Donald centre at Armadale. They would probably be mortified to be called McDonald Centre.

Coral beach at dunvegan - lOvely for children to explore
Day trip to Raasay - either take car on ferry or go as foot passenger. We took car and drove along island for a bit. Then climbed dun Caan (had 4 yr old DS who walked and 20 month old DD who was carried). Was highlight of holiday for me. Food at pub is excellent.

Cafe at staffin - Columba 1600 also good. Supposed to be good beach to explore there too.

We got ferry to Glenelg too - really enjoyed this
Second recommendations for fairy pools, quiraing.

All this does depend where you're staying as driving can take awhile.
