Baby and dog friendly cottage Lakes?

WestYorkshireGirl · 22/04/2012 20:57

DD is 15months and we have a labrador. We want to go to the Lakes for a week in the summer, but everything is very expensive (and quite old fashioned!) We are quite flexible re location, but ideally would like 2 beds as the 1 bed places we've seen look too small. A garden or access to walks would be good too. Any recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks

Which area did you fancy?

This site has a few suggestions... The ones with the paw prints are dog friendly.

Any area in particular? Grizedale forest is fab for dogs and has a wheelchair-friendly route so you can use a stroller.

Happy to go most areas apart from the coastal side

Can I ask budget?

I live in the Lakes - might be able to come up with a few options.

www.wildinstyle.co.uk is run by friends of friends of mine. If you want something a bit different! Gypsy caravans and yurts.

Will take a look at the Yurts etc later - thanks!
Budget - well, we usually say £500, but can't seem to find much for that in August so may have to go a bit higher. Would prefer a second bedroom for DD, but not totally essential and a garden would be useful for the dog, but if we were in a village location, again, not essential. Quite like period /quirky places, but not against modern either - main thing is clean and not old fashioned!!
