We are considering Padstow/St Merryn area down as far as Penzance in early July. DH thinks something for the children (6 and 3) would be good, but I have a fear of anything overly 'jolly'. We're not looking for kids' clubs as such but maybe playpark/pool and proximity to a beach. Mobile homes or chalets are fine as long as park is reasonably quiet i.e families and couples only. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you wise ones.

We are going to Pentewan Sands (nr Mevagissy) in August, after seeing it recommended on here. Has its own private beach!

thanks Meg, where is that? (not living in England). I will search now though.

I'm considering Cornwall this summer also Have you looked atthe Hoseseasond's website? They have lots of holiday parks, and lodges listed, and describe them in different categories. - 'lively' , 'relax and explore' etc

Have a look at Harlyn Sands - our children always used to enjoy going there & it has access to its own beach too!

St Minver - stayed there last year and going back again, I think this is the first time we've ever done that!
