kent or scarborough with kids

hi all,
looking to have hol with a 6 yr and (will be) 1.4 yrs, am looking at kent or scarborough, never been to either, any advice?? recommendations.

Depends where in Kent?
Scarborough has great beach, donkeys, fair, seafront, boats etc. Kent would prob be warmer

Scarborough! Great beaches, miniature railway and peasholm park for boating. Lots to do that should appeal to both ages and much of it will be free. We go all the time with ds (3) as family live near there.
