DH has decided he likes the idea of a Glamping type holiday. He thinks I'm daft but I know this is just his way of getting us to buy a tent in due course . In the meantime, I am wiling to humour him

So, any recommendations please ? Pretty much anywhere in the UK would be fine. We have an 8, 5 and 2 year old to keep entertained.

Hi, not sure if Cornwall was too far but I love <a class="break-all" href="http://havenholidays.at/BuyItBest?CTY=37&LID=MumsNet&DURL=www.haven.com/parks/cornwall/perran-sands/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">PerranSands in cornwall, I haven't stayed in a yurt but have stayed on the campsite and they have some tucked away yurts and a great site with plenty to do

We really like Jollydays near York (Stamford Bridge). Lovely tents (bell tents with wood burning stove), nice site, they will deliver food to your tent for a surprisingly reasonable price and there is lots to do in York if the weather is not forgiving, or a short drive to Bridlington if it is.

This place is fantastic - just outside of York, so lots of lovely things to see and do.

Herding hill farm in haltwhistle nr hadrians wall in Northumberland. They have lovely wigwams (some en-suite and even with hot tubs), a tea room, a playground for children and a few farm animals including 2 alpaca's you can take for walks. You can hire fire pit's for open fires at night and it's 5 minutes walk to a country pub. Sorry cant link as on phone but they have a website if you google

This place in Devon is great!

Really comfortable beds, wood burning stoves, your DH can light a fire and cook outdoors (!) pet pigs and chickens about the place, lovely country walks and family-friendly beaches nearby. Lovely helpful owners, too.
