any recommendations for a weekend away in large property devon way (near beach)?

Just posted these to someone else. have a look at groupaccomodation.com bigholidayhouse.com and big-cottages.com there is a lot of choice on here. when are you looking to go? If its in June/July/August then you will struggle to find anywhere that will just do a weekend as they are all looking for full weeks. there are some big houses in Cornwall that i know of but might be too far for you.

Try breakwater holidays

You could try Shute Barton, near Axminster, available through the National Trust Cottages site. It's absolutely gorgeous!

Lovely places, and has private access to a small river, with BBQ and picnic tables. Beaches at Salcombe and Bigbury.

Hi, just mentioned to somebody else that a load of us mums went with www.sleeps12.com. Although most sleep 12 they also have larger ones as well, and do short breaks all year round at most of the properties I think. Have a great break.
