Suggestions for weekend house rental in Manchester

There will be about 10 adults and 2 children (1 and 4) for a weekend in Manchester in April. We will arrive around Friday or Saturday morning and definitely leave by Monday morning. We will have to be close to the center of Manchester as we are having a christening in a city church on Sunday morning and half of the adults will be arriving internationally from different places so I don't want a shabby place but at the same time I cannot afford too much. Would there be a nice holiday cottage weekend rental that anyone can recommend? Thank you in advance.

Have a look at Groupaccomodation.com and bigholidayhouse.com both of which websites specialise in large places. they are not an agency so you book direct with the owners and can check out websites etc first. School Easter hols are in April - up until the 15th so if you are looking at this time then it is going to be tricky to find and expensive. hopefully you are going after the 15th then! good luck.

I have managed to find somewhere for £560 for self catering house (9 adults and 3 little ones) for two nights and 5 people are leaving after one night. Beautiful and 20 min. to manchester town and also 20min. from the airport. I don't need to book it yet and as I have only rented self catering in france for a week once before, it seems very overpriced to me. Can anyone with experience tell me if it's reasonable. House is absolutely beautiful and we can hold a christening party after the service there as well.
