Help me with Easter holiday please. Can't go abroad

Ideally upto 3-4 hours from Bristol, something for two children for 11 and 4,4-7 days, prefer self catering. Looked into Lyme Regis but can't decide.

SE Cornwall is just over 2 and half hours from Bristol on the A38 not the busy A30. Lovely part of the world lots to do and ideal with kids. school hols would have to be a week in a cottage not a short break but if you are outside of school hols should find something easily. we always stay at wringworthy holiday cottages but have a look at visitcornwall - the tourist board website and cartwheelholidays for farm stays. love it around Looe and polperro.

It's in a place called Shaldon; beautiful estuary location on the south Devon coast. Great.beaches, lots of things to do in surrounding areas.
1.30 drive from Bristol and once you've been to Shaldon you will want to come back!
