an alternative to bath spa hotel please

i would love to stay at bath spa hotel this easter but just rung and they want £440 per night.
Can anyone give me some ideas of nice but much cheaper hotels or self catering holiday apartments in bath please, no car so need to be quite central, i would like a little luxury but taking 2 dcs, a pool would be lovely but is not looking hopeful, I really want to book asap, any ideas please as i have been trawling round hotel booking sites feeling uninspired.

We've stayed at the SACO apartments in Bath, lovely and very central. That was pre-kids though 4 years ago so I'm not sure how ideal it would be for a family.

Hi this place is lovely, v central - if I remember they do apartments as well as b and b..pretty sure no pool though
