Can anyone help? I need a cottage in North Wales

We've got to go for our wedding fittings in North Wales (Corwen) so we're planning to stay for a week (half term) so that everyone else can come up for the day when they're able to. There's us, our three children (but our youngest is a baby) and his two. When we told my parents they said they'd like to come for the week, so I've been waiting to hear if they're coming with us or not. I had seen a cottage that would suit all of us and have a couple of beds for visitors, plus not too expensive but I'm still waiting to find out and now that ones gone. In fact I can't find any that will fit us without paying out over £1,000 now.

So, does anyone know any cottages that fit 8-10 people (bigger is fine if it's not too expensive) that's free for half term?

Have you tried cottages4you? if you click through from mumsnet offers page you get 7% discount.

I've been watching them on there, there's not many left. We're likely to be travelling to the shop several times in the week and a lot are quite a distance. I think we're just going to have to bite the bullet and if it means an hour drive we'll have to do it.

Thanks, I didn't know about the discount and I've been a member 5 years! (Name changed to make a name that goes with the wedding as my wedding will out me and I don't want to be outted on my main account) I guess it didn't fall into my radar before.

try bigholidayhouse.com and groupaccomodation.com both sites specialise in larger properties or places with lots of cottages. good luck (£1K does sound really steep for 10 for feb half term!!)

I just booked for half-term and was pleased to save £30 (of which £8 was clawed back for credit card surcharge!).

We've got somewhere for just over £300 for 9 people, it's about 45 min from the shop but at that price it's not too bad! Hopefully if most people come in groups we won't have to do it too much, there's about three or four groups coming and we'll do our fittings at the same time, I should imagine that some of those will overlap too. I'm getting excited now Grin thanks for your help ladies!

That's a great price! If it's good, can you come back and recommend it please? I would love to go to Wales but have booked Devon for half-term instead.

I will do. I love Wales so loving that we are having to get our clothes from there so doing regular visits. OH grew up in that area so knows where we're going and said it's nice around there.
